The Statewide Health Coordinating Council (SHCC) and its various committees' meeting dates are posted along with an agenda and directions to the meetings.

SHPDA Public Meeting Policy

The Certificate of Need Board announced SHPDA's new Public Meeting Policy at its October 19, 2011 Meeting.  The meeting policy was then revised on October 1, 2012.  A copy of the policy can be found here.  Please review the policy before the next official meeting of either the CON Review Board or the Statewide Health Coordinating Council.

SHCC and Committee Electronic Notification

Rule 410-2-5-.07 Electronic Notice states, "SHPDA may provide any notice required under these rules in electronic PDF format, which shall be considered delivered upon the date of transmission.  All health care providers holding a Certificate of Need from SHPDA, as well as any other interested parties seeking to be included in SHPDA's general distribution list shall maintain with the agency a current e-mail address for purposes of this rule."  This rule became effective March 8, 2013.  Notice of Statewide Health Coordinating Council meetings is posted to the Alabama Open Meetings Act website, www.openmeetings.alabama.gov.  To receive notice of meetings once they are posted, you may register for the site under the 'General Public' option, then register for the 'Alabama State Health Planning and Development Agency'.  Automated notices of meeting dates, times, and locations, as well as Tentative Agendas, are sent once they are posted to the site by Agency personnel.

The next SHCC Hospital Committee meeting will be held virtually on February 5 at 1:30 p.m. with the minimum number of council members meeting in person in Room 387 of the RSA Union building located at 100 North Union Street, Montgomery, Alabama.
